Although not designed for the most extreme wet weather conditions, the Yan Tan boot is designed for hills and mountain tracks, and the higher cuff and strong torsional resistance of the sole make it suitable for long hikes on rough terrain. The mixture of 'Kevlar type' fabric combined with Nubuck leather is very lightweight (650g size 9), and water resistance relies on the Sympatex® waterproof lining. Yan Tan is made on the Altberg AForme last/footshape. The heel is narrow, and the toe is sprung upwards to give a good forward roll to the foot when walking.
